LE enclosed starters 11 frames, 9–150 A, Type 1 and Type 12/3R

UL horsepower ratings, 8100CT1901 Table 2 (non-combination). LE1D = non-reversing three-phase, LE2D = reversing three-phase, LESD / LERD = single-phase non-reversing / reversing. Insta-Kit design (wiring code 2) in Type 1 and Type 12/3R enclosures. Example numbers are Type 1, 120 VAC coil, no overload.

Combination starters fusible, circuit breaker and non-fused

8100CT1901 Tables 9, 11 and 13 (non-reversing; reversing Tables 10, 12 and 14 use the same ratings with the LE2D prefix). Three-phase only. Breaker sizes are as printed in the ordering tables. Fuses are ordered separately.

Catalog number key how an LE number is built

Example: LE1D093A62OG7107A06G = non-reversing, 9 A, no line protection, Type 1, Insta-Kit, no transformer, 120 VAC 50/60 Hz coil, Class 10 overload code 07 (1.6–2.5 A), Start/Stop push buttons. 8100CT1901 Tables 1, 6, 7 and 8.

8100CT1901 Table 7. Codes 01–07, 22 (16–24 A) and 30 are Class 10 only; code 22 (17–25 A) on D25/D32 is Class 20 only. Codes 65, 67 and 69 on the 115 A and 150 A frames come from the Table 1 key (LRD4365 / 67 / 69): confirm with the A&C Team.

Add the modification codes to the end of the catalog number. Pilot lights run at the coil voltage.

Type 4X polymeric starters LE1D09–D25, overload ordered separately

Digest 179 Tables 17.106–17.110. Non-reversing, three-phase. Standard model: green Start and red Stop/reset push buttons. A13 model: 2-position maintained Start/Stop selector with blue reset. Order the LRD overload separately and wire it to the bottom of the contactor. SCCR 5 kA at 600 VAC with the fuse or breaker shown.

GV2ME manual starters in an enclosure 0.1–32 A, push-button operator

GV2ME HP ratings from Digest 179 Table 17.90 (the same ratings as GV2P). Enclosures from Table 17.97: GV2MC01 surface NEMA 1 (IP41), GV2MC02 surface NEMA 12/4 (IP55), GV2MP01 flush NEMA 1, GV2MP02 flush NEMA 12/4. These enclosures are CSA Listed, not UL Listed. The GV2ME is a UL manual motor controller: provide branch-circuit protection ahead of it.

NEC motor full-load current Tables 430.248 & 430.250

Use the table current to size the starter and conductors (NEC 430.6(A)(1)). Set overloads from the motor nameplate FLA (NEC 430.6(A)(2)).
